My name is Angela Ramming. I grew up in Hinton, Oklahoma. I was valedictorian of my graduating class. I was a cheerleader for 6 years and was highly active in FFA. I always knew I wanted to work in a field that revolved around people. My love for helping people started at a young age. I started working at a small family-owned shop when I was 15. I enjoyed interacting with new people and seeing what I could do to help them. I now work as a waitress and love caring for people in a new way. I felt my calling to be a nurse right after I graduated high school. Ever since then, I knew it was going to be my career. I am currently co-president of NCF at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. My philosophy of nursing is to care for the patient in all forms of health. I want my patients to feel that I truly care and not just see them as a client. I believe that listening to the patient about anything they have to say will help to involve them in their care. I want them to feel they are a real participant in their health care decisions.
